The ERAA is an independent association lobbying in the interests of Retailers of electricity and gas throughout the National Electricity Market (NEM) and the National Gas Markets.
Membership is comprised of businesses operating predominantly in retail electricity and gas markets in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and Tasmania.
ERAA full members provide energy services to end use customers in the National Energy Markets and represent the majority of retail businesses operating in the NEM, who collectively provide electricity to over 98% of customers in the NEM and are the first point of contact for end use customers for both Gas and Electricity. Full Member's interests in the National Energy Market vary according to their individual business strategies, but cover the National Electricity Market (NEM) and the various Gas Markets.

The purpose of the ERAA is to:
Provide a public voice on all energy retail matters to Government and Industry bodies.
Access key decision makers to affect National Energy Policy.
Ensure efficient development and implementation of National Energy Policy and markets.



 
UMA is the Utility Metering Association. Its members are formed from utilities across electricity, gas and water including irrigation.

The mission of UMA is to provide a forum where utility industry professionals and non-professionals (electricity, gas, water, irrigation) can discuss and debate issues associated with the development of a holistic, strategic approach to metering systems.

The Aim of UMA is:
To share non-commercial metering-related information between members.
To provide an open forum where members can jointly work together to:
- improve market awareness;
- provide utility news and information;
- discuss topics of interest and speaker to be included in the annual Metering & Billing/CRM
   Australia/New Zealand conference.
